As you can see Erin really enjoys her rusks (for teething), and especially ones with Marmite on top that she can paint her face with !

No major New Years Eve plans for us, except for a nice relaxed BBQ with a couple of friends.

Last week, this weekend, the silly season and even MORE photos !!

So there has been a lot of Christmas decorating at our place this last week, and in case you missed it earlier, here is the "before" shot of our Christmas tree:


And now, the "after" shot - fully decorated !


We also did up the chimney a little...


Mommy also thought she might try and go to the mall for "just a little bit" of shopping today - BAD IDEA. 20 minutes just to try and find a parking space, and then once she got inside it was pretty packed. However, the end result was this:



If you think that's cute - just wait until you see her actual Christmas Day outfit ;-)

Erin is still dribbling like a waterfall, we're hoping to see a tooth or two by the end of next month. Erin can also sit up now, and gets lots of practice at it - although we do need to work on getting her to stay up longer (and her sense of balance), she topples over after about 30 seconds. She has also *finally* figured out how to roll from her back to her tummy and then back again, we are so proud of her !

Last Friday we bought ourselves a digital video camera too, so very very soon there will be actual moving footage of Erin & mommy & daddy, once we've done a bit of editing. Exciting stuff.

And mommy finally got behind the camera, for a couple of photos of Erin with her Daddy !

Tomorrow (Sunday) we might try and go for a walk up to the local cafe in the morning, it's been a while since we were last there. Then, at around lunchtime Grandad Ted and Jo are coming for a visit, so it will be good to catch up with them. Monday is a playdate for Erin with two other babies around her age - so expect even more photos. The rest of the week will hopefully be relatively relaxed, because before we know it - it will be Christmas !

It has been a VERY a busy week and weekend indeed, following our arrival home from Sydney...

We have started deorating for Christmas... although I know this isn't a very exciting photo, I will have an "after" one soon, hopefully tonight !



I don't think Erin was too impressed with her antlers!






We have also installed a nicer and much more practical carseat for Erin, which should hopefully last her until she is 3-4 years old.




As for her new high chair, I think the photos speak for themselves !! She is on "solids" twice a day now and this makes it easier for either parent to feed her, instead of one to hold her down, and one to TRY and get the food in LOL








Now that summer is here, we have also decided that it was time to invest in a new BBQ... although hopefully the weather holds out ! We will even be able to do our Xmas day turkey on it !




Erin's first time in her Jolly Jumper - I'm sure she'll get the hang of it eventually...





And because Jax was sick of toys EVERYWHERE... we bought some nifty (and cheap!) storage drawers for keeping Erin's toys in, much easier to vacuum our lounge now too.




More photos to come as more decorating is done for the silly season, but I think it's time to take another break from the computer for a while... have been at it all day so far, in between taking care of the munchkin. (Almost feels like having a job again! - says Jax)
